Principal
The Georgia Association of Secondary School
Principals announced March 25th that Ron
Dunnavant of Etowah High School
in Woodstock has been named as one of the 2008 Georgia
High School Distinguished Principals.
The
Distinguish
Principal recognition is presented
annually by the Georgia Association of
Secondary School Principals based on statewide
nominations of outstanding secondary leaders.
The Distinguished
Principal program identifies high
school principals that excel in a variety of
professional skills including educational
leadership, resolving complex problems,
developing self and others, and service to
their school community.
Athletic Director Ronnie
Green
Our dear friend and
Athletic Director Ronnie Green
passed away on February 18, 2008.
Please keep his family in
your prayers as they endure
this time of mourning. Our
school, administration,
faculty and basketball
program will greatly miss Ronnie
and his contributions
to building greatness
within our student-athletes and
all Etowah athletic programs.
The Tip
Off Club has donated $1,000 to
the Ronnie Green Scholarship
Foundation in memory of a great
Athletic Director.
Georgia
School of Excellence
Etowah High School
has been named as a Georgia
School of Excellence. Etowah was one of only four high
schools in Georgia to receive
this award.
