63 - Harrison 39
The
varsity girls improved to 2-0 on the
season, easily handling the Lady Hoyas
from Harrison by a score of 63-39.
Harrison got on the board first with
Etowah responding with eight unanswered
points and never looked back. The Lady
Eagles closed out the first quarter up
23-10. Etowah continued to build their
advantage early in the second quarter
going up by seventeen early before
closing out the half up 36-20.
The Lady Eagles continued their dominance
to start the third quarter building a
twenty plus lead early in the period.
Etowah's margin allowed then to rotate
the entire bench midway through the
quarter and not miss a beat as the period
ended 52-27. Etowah then cruised through
the final eight minutes finishing the
contest up twenty-four.
Etowah was led in scoring by Lindsey
Mason and Alicia Manning with 20 and 18
respectively, followed by Nicole Glickman
adding double figures with 11.
Congratulations also go out to Alicia
Manning on surpassing the 1,000 point
mark in her Eagle career!
