VARSITY GIRLS
Etowah 67 - Harrison 23

The Varsity Girls improved to 12 - 4 on the season and 5 - 1 in region play with an easy win over region foe Harrison Lady Hoyas by the score of 67 - 23.

The Lady Hoyas entered the game winless on the season including a twenty-four point loss to the Lady Eagles during their first meeting of the year, and the start of this contest quickly showed the superiority of Etowah as they jumped out to a 17 - 0 advantage. The Lady Hoyas did manage to get on the board in the opening quarter putting up nine points to trail Etowah 20 - 9 at the first stop. The second period was reminiscent of the first as Etowah blitzed Harrison 22 - 2 before the Lady Hoyas managed to score the last bucket of the half with Etowah holding a commanding 41 - 13 lead.

The contest was well in hand as the two teams came out after the break and Etowah substituted freely through out the final two quarters. Etowah closed out the third quarter up 52 - 17 and cruised in with the easy forty-four point victory.

Lindsey Mason and Alicia Manning scored 17 and 16 respectively, as the Lady Eagles put ten players in the scoring column on the night.
