VARSITY GIRLS
Etowah
59 - Murray County 32
The
Varsity Girls improved to 6 - 2 on the
season and 2 - 1 in region play with a
convincing 59 - 32 victory over the Lady
Indians from Murray County. Etowah jumped
out to an early 20 - 6 lead in the first
quarter as they easily outmatched the
Lady Indians from the jump. Etowah was
able to consistently rotate players in
the game and took at 40 - 18 lead into
the locker at half and the game well in
hand.
The third quarter again enabled the Lady
Eagles to rotate all the players into the
action closing out the period on top 49 -
23. Etowah finished the final eight
minutes taking away the road victory by
the final count of 59 - 32.
Lindsey Mason and Alicia Manning tallied
17 as the Lady Eagles put nine players in
the scoring column. The Lady Eagles will
be off until the Deep South Classic
during the Holiday break.
