Our purpose in starting the Foundation is to enhance the educational environment and opportunities available to the students at Etowah High School. The funds raised by the Foundation will be used to provide some of the extras that county and state funding do not provide. Donations will be used exclusively to benefit our students. Our initial goals are to increase parent involvement, and improve school spirit and the overall educational atmosphere. We hope our ability to impact the lives of our teenagers, and to improve the educational opportunities and environment of Etowah High School, will continue to grow with the increased involvement and support of both our parents and the community at large.

The Foundation will be set up as a 501(c) (3) corporation with tax exempt, non-profit status. All donations made by individuals and corporations will be tax deductible. Become a part of this exciting endeavor. With your support, we can make a difference in the lives of the students of Etowah High School!

Several schools in the metropolitan Atlanta area have foundations. We are modeling our foundation after the Walton Facilities Foundation of Walton High School, in Cobb County. The Walton Foundation has been in existence for nearly ten years and is a tremendous asset to the school. We have received the approval of the Cherokee County Board of Education and are ready to move ahead.
