As with all foundations, the Etowah Foundation needs a strong, wide base. We are looking for dedicated individuals who would like to take Etowah High School to the next level. Several committees are needed to support the Foundation’s work.

Below are areas in which you may have an interest. If you’re interested in helping out in any of these areas, please
contact us. If you would like more information before making a commitment, please call Kris McKeeth.

Volunteer Opportunities:

Newsletter - The Newsletter will be published and mailed two to three times per year, with the first newsletter going out in April. We will need volunteers to help fold and staple the newsletters.

Survival Kits - This is one of our most urgent needs at this time. We need a few people to spend some time implementing a plan that is ready to go. Survivial kits will be sold for spirit building and fundraising. Kits need to be prepared and delivered to students each semester prior to final exams. Kits will include a snack, drink, highlighter, etc. and a personal note of encouragement from the student's parent who orders the kit.

Fundraising - Mike Murphy is heading up this committe and he has some exciting plans!

Freshman Orientation - This committee will plan activities and/or participate in events relating to incoming freshmen.

Renaissance - Academic Achievment Reward program already in progress.

Grant Research/Writing -Will seek and make application for grants.

Campus Improvement - Will prepare campus-wide needs assessment of items not covered by state/county funding, determine costs for items, establish priority, and present to Foundation board for potential funding.

Alumni Association - Will help establish and maintain an alumni association for students.

Website - Compile information and help maintain website.
