Susan C. Little is in her third year as the head coach of the Etowah High School volleyball program.   This is Coach Little's 9th year at Etowah High School.  She was named Coach of the Year two years running with the AJC, as well as Cherokee County Coach of the Year this past season.  Her goal for 2007 is to get the team in the running for another Final Four appearance.

Coach Little has coached JV softball, as well as freshmen and varsity basketball here at Etowah.  She was also the girl’s head track coach in 2005 - 2006.

Her teaching experience spans 18 years.  She attended Jacksonville State University in Alabama on a full basketball scholarship.  College degrees include Bachelor's Degree from Jacksonville State Univ. in Ala.; Master's degree from Univ. of Tennessee at Chattanooga; Educational Specialist degree from Lincoln Memorial University.

Born and raised in Chattanooga, Tennessee, she is the baby of five. 

She has a son, Jake Hardin, who graduated from Etowah in 2007.  Coach Murphy became Coach Little on June 9, 2007.  She met her husband, Clayton Little, at the Final Four tourney last year.  He is a Sergeant for the Marietta Police Dept.
